Hmmmm....baby names huh? Let's see...for a boy I'd choose....Samuel Ward.....and for a girl I'd choose...Melody Rose.

Tough decision! My husband and I had a hard time with finding boy names that we could both agree on. Girl names were easier. Hopefully you and your husband won't have a difficult time on this front. :)

Kim, I like all your names, they're very well thought out. Missy still has my books in Mansfield, but you could check out name books from your library! I did that and found some good ones. Love ya! -mom

Now THAT is a belly! I never ever took a shot like that. Probably because mine never looked so darlingly round!

And I like all your names as well! For more inspiration, there are soooo many baby name sites on the web!

I like your name ideas! How would you pronounce Alove? I think it looks very pretty, but might be one of those names that requires explanation for her entire life. Know what I mean? :)

I like the names Sam and Avery a lot too.

Hmmm... I like Samuel and Rose. Wait, was Rose a choice for first name? I like Melody too, but I'm not big on assonance in names. But that's just me!

Thanks for stopping by today on my Mom's birthday post! :)
So nice to meet you and congratulations on your new little baby on the way!

I haven't read all of your blog yet...is your husband in the Navy, by chance?
I spent the first three years of my marriage in Virginia and hubby was out on deployment more than he was home. And I didn't know too many people at first either...I joined to ship's spouse group and got to know some other wives that way...but it was lonely!

I really love the possible names you picked out!
Blessings!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. And YES flip flops are the MOST comfy shoes in the world...especially when your feet and ankles swell up towards the end of pregnancy. If you're not used to wearing flip-flops, the little thingamabob between the toes might annoy you at first, but you'll get used to it.

Hm. How about Tristan Paul? And I LOVE Melody Rose...

Cute cute belly! I like Samuel, but I just really like "old-fashioned" names.

Congrats on the baby! Wishing you a happy and uneventful last few months!:)

Cute belly!

I like Avery, but only for a girl! I know a lot of girls with that name and I think a boy would have a hard time having the same name as them :)

I like classic, older names. Samuel is great and Rose too!

Hi there! I'm just visiting from the Blog Party, but my little sister (she is 24 this month, so not that little admittedly!) is pregnant so we have been chatting a lot about baby names.

For boys, I would go with Samuel Paul Melchert. (I'm a big fan of old-fashioned names - they are never in fashion so never go out of fashion.) I've got Samuel reserved as one of my baby names!

For the girls, Leah is lovely and Rose is a lovely old-fashioned name. What about Leah Rose?

I recommend leaving yourself with 2-3 options before you meet your baby, and then see which one fits the child the best. We had narrowed our boy names down to Donovan and Landon, and we waited until the morning after he as born to decide. He's definitely a Donovan!!
